Community Fund

As a member of 100 Who Care you are part of a caring, amazing group of women that are making a positive impact in our community today, tomorrow and forever.  The charity who receives the most member votes at the annual evening will receive a $5000 grant and the remainder will be directed to the Community Fund of the Otsego County Community Foundation.

The Community Fund is an endowed, unrestricted fund that grants to local non-profit organizations.  By supporting the Community Fund, you capitalize on opportunities and sponsor innovative solutions.  Established 20 years ago, the Community Fund is a permanent charitable resource that grows through your giving.  When you add to the endowment, you help meet the needs of our community today and for years to come. Only the fund’s earned interest is granted; the principal remains in tact.  Therefore, your donation supports Otsego County in perpetuity.

The OCCF invests and manages the endowment to provide long-term growth, to address our community’s most pressing needs and to promote the spirit of philanthropy.  The foundation is rigorous in evaluating the impact of our grant making; donors can be reassured that their investments are making a real difference in the lives of everyone in Otsego County.

Non-profits can apply for grant from the Community Fund during the Community Grant Program.  Additionally, organizations can be nominated for grants through our I love my community grant program.   small logo 2
