Grant Seekers Information Session

Nonprofits considering applying for a grant from the 2018 Community Grant Program are invited to a grant seekers information session, Thursday, February 8, at 11 am at the Otsego County United Way, 116 E. Fifth Street, Gaylord, MI 49735. Potential applicants will hear from Community Grant Funding Partners and will have an opportunity to ask questions and learn about important details to consider when applying.

The Community Grant Program is a collaborative effort made possible by Kiwanis, Rotary, Otsego County Community Foundation, Otsego County United Way, Otsego Memorial Hospital, Otsego Wildlife Legacy Society and Treetops Resort.  It streamlines the grant seeker process for nonprofits by using a common application process. “It was very helpful to present our non-profit information to the group at once, so all hear the same message and can bring the information back to their individual groups for funding consideration. Thank you for this opportunity!” stated a past grantee. Since the formation of the Community Grant Program, $240,000 has been awarded to 31 local organizations for projects and programs to advance their missions.

“Otsego Memorial Hospital is honored to partner with the Community Foundation and numerous other funders to combine efforts and work to address significant issues facing our patients and the communities we serve.” stated Brett Streby, Marketing Director. Rotary grant committee member Heidi Yocum, noted “Our service club is starting to channel more funding request through the Community Grant Program. It is advantageous to the non-profit organizations to take advantage of multiple funders together in one room.”

The application will be available on line at from February 14-March 22. Additional information about the community grant program can be found by visiting
