Treetops to Host Extreevaganza Casino Royale

Treetops to Host Extreevaganza, December 1st

Benefiting the Otsego County Community Fund

Improving the lives of our neighbors, enhancing our community, and building compassionate leaders – that is what the Extreevaganza has been doing since 1999 through the Otsego County Community Foundation.

The yearly event is not only a fundraiser, but also a chance for people to join together in the spirit of community and enjoy an evening of festivities to kick off the holiday season.

Extreevaganza relies heavily on the generosity of our local business community, and one of the businesses that have been there for the event though the years is Treetops Resort. Not only has Treetops been the location of the event, it has also been a great supporter over the years.

Because of the amount of time and resources needed to put this event on each year, the OCCF has asked Treetops to not only be the venue but to also host and lead the event. All the money raised will still go to the OCCF, but thanks to Treetops it will free up the non-profit and its staff to work on other community projects.

“We continue to be amazed by the generosity of Treetops Resort.  While the community loves this event, our mission related programs and services have grown in the past few years and planning such an event has become very challenging for our small staff,” said Dana Bensinger, Executive Director.

Bensinger continued, “The Treetops staff is taking the event to a new level. I think the community is really going to enjoy it and that is what you hope for with every philanthropic experience.”

Barry Owens, GM of Treetops comments, “We are honored to host the event and to support the OCCF and our community in an even larger capacity.  The OCCF means so much to so many of our neighbors here in Otsego County. When Dana asked, we said yes because it is just the right thing to do and we are excited to have fun with it.” At this year’s event guest can enjoy over the top Christmas decor with a Casino Royale theme.

Efforts such as Extreevaganza aid in the continued growth of the Community Fund, which in turn offers nonprofits an increase in grant funding to support their missions.  Each spring, area nonprofits can submit a grant application for funding consideration from the Community Fund.

This is going to be a festive night of philanthropy filled with holiday cheer.  If you would like to attend the event on December 1st or become a corporate sponsor please use the links below.
