Doors open @ 5:00 PM
Event 6 PM – 7 PM
North Life Church
115 E Main St, Gaylord, MI 49735
How to Attend
We recently switched software systems, so everything for this event is now handled through our donation platform. This may look a little different than a traditional “registration,” but no worries—making your donation does count as registering for the event.
Even though the system uses the word “donation” instead of “registration,” you will still appear on our end as an official event attendee. You are fully registered!
You’ll also receive a tax acknowledgment letter after completing your donation. This letter serves as both your tax receipt and your event registration confirmation, so feel free to keep it for your records.
We’re excited to have you join us! If you need anything else, we’re here to help, give us a call 989-731-0597 or send us an email: info@otsegofoundation.org.
What is 100+ Women Who Care?
- A one-hour, no-frills event where 100% of all donations stay in Otsego County.
- A unique opportunity to champion a local non-profit whose work you are passionate about. The evening’s winner will receive a $5,000 grant.
- A chance to learn about the amazing work of local non-profits.
- A group of women who are making a positive impact in our community today and in the future.
- A way to increase the impact of your individual contribution.
What to Expect
- At 5:00 PM, guests will check in, receive their voting ballot, mingle, and visit nonprofit tables. The event officially begins at 6:00 PM with opening remarks and an explanation of the nonprofit selection and voting process.
- Four nominated nonprofits are then chosen at random, and each nominating participant is given five minutes to present, followed by a brief Q&A. After all presentations, attendees submit their anonymous ballots while votes are tabulated.
- The nonprofit that received funding at the previous event will share a short update on how the donation was used and the impact it made. The evening concludes with the announcement of the nonprofit receiving the most votes. The nonprofit earning the most votes will receive a $5,000 grant!
- We’re excited to share that this year’s event will take place in downtown Gaylord. At the conclusion of the event, we encourage attendees to continue connecting with friends—new and old—by enjoying one of our wonderful local eateries just steps away.
Nominations
We will accept nonprofit nominations until May 5th!
The more nominations, the better the chances of your favorite nonprofit being chosen to receive a grant.
Nonprofits must be:
Local and serving Otsego County A 501 (c)(3) organization, government, or school. Only registered attendees of 100+ Women Who Care are eligible to nominate a nonprofit. These requirements help ensure that the nonprofit follows best practices.
A Note About Presenting Your Nomination
If you nominate an organization and your name is drawn on the night of the event, the expectation is that you will come to the podium and share your heartfelt story with the group.
Your presentation can be statistical and informative, warm and personal, or a mix of both — whatever feels most authentic and best conveys why this nonprofit matters to you.
We share this in advance because, in the past, some speakers felt nervous or surprised by the expectation to present. We want all attendees to feel comfortable, prepared, and supported when sharing a cause they care deeply about.
Previous Winners
To maintain fairness and extend opportunities to a broad range of nonprofits, previous Community Choice Grant winners will have eligibility restrictions based on the award amount received. The below organizations fall into this category.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I bring a friend to the event? Yes! We are always looking for women who want to GIVE BIG. Please invite your friends, neighbors, daughters, and co-workers to register today.
Is the event limited to 100 women? Absolutely not! If we can make a BIG impact with 100+ women, why not grow and make an even BIGGER difference?
How do I nominate a nonprofit? Click the nomination button above to submit your nomination. You may nominate one local nonprofit. If your nomination is selected at the event, you will be asked to give a 3–5 minute overview of the nonprofit—sharing its mission, why it matters, and why you believe it should receive the $5,000 grant. A brief Q&A with attendees will follow each presentation.
Do I have to nominate a nonprofit? No. Many women like to just attend and give.
Can a nonprofit be nominated more than once? Each participant can only nominate one nonprofit per event, however multiple attendees can nominate the same nonprofit. The name of the attendee on the drawn nomination form will give a presentation. However, the same nonprofit may not be drawn more than once to present.
Is my donation tax deductible and how do I track my gift?
Yes, the donation is tax deductible. You will receive a tax acknowledgement letter via email when you register for the event.
How much of my donation goes to the administration costs of the program?
Absolutely zero! Our operating expenses are offset by generous OCF Corporate Partner support.
