About the Event
This year’s Extreevaganza marks both a celebration and a farewell. On Saturday, December 6, 2025, yes Saturday, the Otsego Community Foundation (OCF) will host the final chapter of this beloved tradition with a more intimate format than ever before. After a fun cocktail hour to mingle and catch up, guests will enjoy a classic sit-down dinner—giving everyone a chance to relax, connect to the mission, and savor the evening together. Registration opens on October 21, and with seating capped at 250 guests, this event is expected to sell out quickly.
For over two decades, Extreevaganza has been more than a gala—it has been a gathering point for generosity, community spirit, and shared impact. Yet, after thoughtful consideration, the OCF leadership team has made the decision to retire the event. The choice comes from a deep responsibility to put mission and community needs first. From disaster response efforts during the 2022 tornado and 2025 ice storm to expanding grantmaking and programs, we have seen firsthand that large-scale event planning can conflict with our ability to respond in real time to pressing needs. Hosting a gala requires extensive staff, volunteer, and administrative resources—energy that could be redirected to mission-critical work.
As we “put a bow on it,” we also look ahead with gratitude and renewed purpose. The legacy of Extreevaganza will live on through the countless connections, funds, and friendships it has inspired. Moving forward, we will explore new, mission-aligned ways to bring people together—whether through smaller gatherings, volunteer opportunities, or digital campaigns that maximize impact and flexibility. This is not the end of celebration, but a recommitment to purpose. By retiring the gala, we are choosing to put mission and our community first.
