FUND MISSION
The Otsego Lake Fund was established as a permanent income source for the Otego Lake Association, providing annual distributions to support projects and programs, while also allowing funds to be preserved for future, larger expenses that preserve and protect Otsego Lake.

OCF INVESTS FOR GROWTH
BOARD DIRECTED GRANTS TO THE OTSEGO LAKE ASSOCIATION
- You make a gift to the Otsego Community Foundation (OCF), identifying the Otsego Lake Fund - you can give cash, appreciated stock, or other assets. You may receive tax benefits in the year your gift is made.
- Otsego Community Foundation invests funds using diversified pools managed by professional investment managers.
- The Otsego Lake Association requests grants from the Otsego Lake Fund to support the mission.
- Each year, the organization may request a grant by submitting board-approved minutes, with the available amount based on OCF's spending policy. (currently 4.5% of the previous 12-quarter rolling average)
- The OCF handles all the administrative details and investment responsibility for a quarterly admin fee.
- A gift to the Otsego Lake Fund of the Otsego Community Foundation, is designed for preservation and protection of Otsego Lake.
