Congratulations on being selected to receive a scholarship from the Otsego Community Foundation. Our scholarships are made possible by generous donors who care about the future of our county and its young people.
Click on the “Accept Your Scholarship” button below, complete the required information, and upload the required documents by April 24th, 2024.
Required Documents:
- a copy of your letter of acceptance/admission from the school you are attending.
- a signed photo release (minor and 18 plus included) – Download Below
- a senior picture.
- Thank you note.*
* Please mail thank you note addressed to the scholarship you received to our office: Po Box 344 Gaylord, MI 49734.
Once I receive your thank you note, I will send it to the donor along with a copy of your photo and educational goals as listed in your application. Lastly, we require an update on how this scholarship has impacted your education by January 15th, 2025. Be specific; use examples. I will send a reminder email in December.

Scholarship Displacement
Scholarship displacement occurs when colleges and universities reduce or remove their institutional gift aid, other scholarships or grants from a student’s financial aid awards due to the student receiving an external scholarship that puts the student’s total amount in scholarships above their federally determined financial need or the school’s Cost of Attendance (COA).
This may leave the amount a student must take out in loans or need to cover in out-of-pocket cost the same despite the student having worked to earn an additional scholarship.
