Edward Jones has long been a valued partner of the Otsego Community Foundation (OCF). Over the years, their associates have contributed by serving on OCF committees, the board of directors, and as event ambassadors.
In the fall of 2023, local Edward Jones branch leaders contacted the OCF to explore additional avenues for positively impacting our community through their philanthropy. After meeting with Executive Director Dana Bensinger, the decision was made to establish a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) with the OCF. This type of fund simplifies charitable giving for donors by allowing the OCF to manage all administrative tasks while enhancing the donor’s impact through a network of possibilities and partnerships.
The commitment from Edward Jones advisors and staff members to contribute to the fund has been remarkable, with their individual donations matched by the corporation. Furthermore, team members are actively involved in assessing community needs and making informed decisions on grant allocations.
This initiative exemplifies Edward Jones' dedication to philanthropy and their ongoing support for the betterment of our community.
