Through the Archives

Jan 17, 2024 | All News, Through the Archives

The Otsego Community Foundation turns 30 this year! As part of our year-long celebration, we are combing through the archives to get a better understanding of where we started and how far we have come. We are adding this Through the Archives feature to the monthly Foundation Matters so you can look at our history and celebrate with us.

February marks the opening of the scholarship application for Otsego County high school seniors. Currently, the OCF offers 12 active scholarships and has awarded $256,664 to date.

A Gaylord Herald Times article dated 4/1/2006 announced the open application of three new scholarships: The Kathryn M. Tripp Scholarship, The Don Skop Memorial Scholarship, and the Harold and Norma Elgas Scholarship, totaling $2500. These scholarships are still available, comprising one-quarter of the total number of scholarships that the OCF offers, although the application process is quite a bit different!
