Have you ever experienced that moment —
the kind where you realize you showed up, you mattered, and together with others, you did something truly meaningful?

That feeling is hard to describe… but when it happens, you know it.

That feeling is what 100+ Women Who Care is all about.

It’s the energy in the room when women come together with a shared purpose. It’s the moment when stories are shared, votes are cast, and thousands of dollars are directed to meet immediate needs right here in our community. It’s powerful. It’s joyful. And it stays with you long after the hour is over.

Since 2016, Otsego Community Foundation’s 100+ Women Who Care events have raised $171,000 in just 10 hours. Half of that funding has gone directly to local nonprofits, while the other half has strengthened the Community Fund — ensuring both immediate and long‑term impact. It’s a remarkable testament to what happens when women come together to solve a problem.

We invite you to be part of this meaningful, engaging event — an opportunity to learn about the vital work local nonprofits are doing while connecting with other community‑minded women.

Doors Open: 5:00 PM
Event: 6:00–7:00 PM

When doors open at 5:00 PM, attendees have time to mix, mingle, and meet the local nonprofit organizations that have been nominated. It’s a chance to learn firsthand about the important work happening throughout Otsego County — before the one‑hour event begins.

Why Nominations Matter

When you nominate, you’re not just attending — you’re helping shape the evening.

Your registration gives you the opportunity to nominate a nonprofit that is addressing an immediate need in our community. On the night of the event, four nominations are randomly selected. Each presenter shares why their nonprofit matters, votes are cast, and one or more grants are awarded that very night.

This is a fun, interactive, and deeply meaningful way to show just how much you care about Otsego County.

Nonprofits must be:

  • Local and serving Otsego County
  • A 501(c)(3), government entity, or school
  • Nominated by a registered attendee

A Note About Presenting a Nomination

If you nominate an organization and your name is drawn during the event, you’ll be invited to the podium to share why that nonprofit matters to you and the community.

Your message can be:

  • Statistical and informative
  • Warm and personal
  • Or a blend of both

We share this in advance so everyone feels comfortable, prepared, and supported. The most impactful presentations are the ones that feel authentic and heartfelt.

Eligibility Note: Previous Grant Recipients

To ensure fairness and expand opportunities to a wide range of organizations, some nonprofits are ineligible for nomination this year due to receiving grants within the past two years, including:

Otsego County Toys for Tots • New Life Pregnancy Resource Center • Gaylord Gators Swim Team • The Salvation Army • Michigan Works! • The Refuge • Crossroads Industries, Inc. • RISE: Otsego Substance Free Coalition • AAUW • Giving Tree Food Pantry • Otsego County Food Pantry • Gaylord Little League • Otsego County United Way • Caring Closet

The Impact, in Photos

Take a moment to look at the photos above.

Each one represents a local organization being seen, supported, and celebrated.

That’s 24 nonprofits.
24 moments of relief, hope, and gratitude.
24 real outcomes — all made possible one hour at a time through 100+ Women Who Care.

Since 2016, this collective generosity has directed $171,000 back into our community in just 10 hours.

This is why nominations matter.
This is what happens when women show up together.

So the question is…

Who will receive a grant this year?
