The OCF is excited to announce the establishment of the first new fund of 2020, the Bill Marsh Fund.

“We want to optimize the impact of our investments in the community, and partnering with the OCF is a great way to accomplish this goal,” stated Bill Marsh, Jr.

The fund is a corporate donor advised fund, which means the staff at the foundation handles the administration of the fund and presents grant opportunities to the business that are aligned with the fund’s giving priorities.

“We are excited to connect the team at Bill Marsh with needs and opportunities in the community,” said Dana Bensinger, OCF Executive Director.  “Many local businesses receive requests from charities daily.  Through our donor services, a corporate donor advised fund can streamline your giving efforts while maximizing impact.”

While the Bill Marsh Fund of the Otsego Community Foundation is new, charitable giving is an integral part of the Bill Marsh culture.

“We’ve been in business in Traverse City since 1982. Our charitable partners include Child Family Services, Big Brothers Big Sisters, NMC Foundation, Munson Healthcare Foundation, GT Area Catholic Schools, American Legion Baseball, Zonta, Bethany Christian Services – and many more!” says Bill Marsh, Jr. “Since opening Bill Marsh Ford Gaylord in June of 2017, we have supported many local charities including Otsego County Fair, VFW, Air Show, Big Ticket Festival, Alpenfest, 4H Club, and Gaylord Gators.”
