The Otsego Community Foundation (OCF) is proud to announce that Justine Hees has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Kevin Reynolds Achievement Award. This prestigious honor is presented annually to a board member who goes above and beyond their role to serve the mission of OCF.
Established in 2014, the award commemorates Kevin Reynolds’ decade of dedicated service as a board member from 2005 to 2014—a legacy that set a remarkably high standard for leadership and commitment.
Justine joined the OCF Board in 2021 and quickly became an integral part of the team. Her willingness to dive in, share her expertise, and champion community initiatives has made a lasting impact. This year, she steps into a new leadership role as Chair of the Board, continuing her journey of service with vision and enthusiasm.
Originally from Rhode Island, Justine moved to Gaylord eight years ago and embraced the vibrant, close-knit spirit of Otsego County. She brings a professional background in manufacturing process engineering and works in her family business, Monarch Millwork. Beyond her professional life, Justine is a devoted wife and mother of two young sons, and she values the family-friendly atmosphere and year-round activities that make Northern Michigan special.
“Her contributions to OCF reflect not only her skills but her heart for community. Whether offering innovative ideas, lending a fresh perspective, or rolling up her sleeves to get the work done, Justine exemplifies the qualities this award celebrates.”
