Through the Archives–Extreevaganza

In December 2000, the Otsego County Community Foundation held the first Extreevaganza event, raising $18,000 for basic operational costs. The event, which was attended by 130 guests, Extreevaganza event, raising $18,000 that went toward basic operational costs. The event was attended by 130 guests and was held at the Otsego Club.  

What started as a simple fundraising idea designed to keep the lights on blossomed into a beloved annual event. Thanks to the foresight of the original organizers Extreevaganza has become a lasting tradition that engages and inspires generations to engage in local philanthropy. The event has grown over the last two decades into what it is today—a fun and festive philanthropic event that raised close to $250,000 for the OCF Community Fund last year. Fun Fact: It was Mary Tomaski who created the name Extreevaganza!
