We shine our Volunteer Spotlight on 100+ Women Who Care (WWC) Ambassador Tabitha Pardo this month. Since 2017, Tabitha has helped plan and promote this impactful one-hour event. She and the other seven 100+ WWC Ambassadors work hard to expand this giving circle, extending personal invitations to women in the community and spreading the word about the event. We are grateful for volunteers like Tabitha, who share themselves with the committee and work hard to make this event a success each year.

“Tabitha has a huge heart,” says Karin Beyer, OCF Director of Community Philanthropy. “I’m proud to call her my friend. Tabitha lifts me up when I do my work; she lifts others.”

Tabitha has called Gaylord home for 13 years. A Michigan native, she returned to her home state from Colorado to raise her two sons, now 19 and 13. Tabitha and her spouse Tracey enjoy the outdoors, volunteering, traveling, and spending time with family. Tabitha is an Air Force Veteran who gives her time to 22 2 None, a nonprofit serving the veteran community. She loves her job as a Nurse Practitioner in the Internal Medicine Practice at Otsego Memorial Hospital and the people she serves.

Here’s what Tabitha had to say about her community and her experience working with the OCF.

What do you love about Otsego County?

When I moved to Gaylord 13 years ago, my priority was raising my boys in a community where they were safe, loved, and supported. It didn’t take long to realize that Gaylord was the perfect place to raise my children. The sense of family here is what makes this community so beautiful.

Why did you say YES to the OCF?

I said YES to OCF because the foundation represents the definition of community. OCF supports the local community’s needs by stepping up in many ways. From providing a platform for our youth to support their causes, providing college scholarships, and pandemic and natural disaster relief, the OCF never waivers in its support of the community.

I am so proud to be an ambassador for the 100 + Women Who Care event. The women who serve as ambassadors have become family, and the women who attend this event every year inspire me year after year!
