Welcome New Program Manager – DeLayni Brown

Jul 9, 2025 | All News

Hi! I’m DeLayni Brown and I’m so excited to introduce myself as the OCF Program Manager. I am a born and raised Otsego County resident so my name may not be new to all of you. I graduated from Gaylord High School in 2021 where I did my best to be involved with everything from Drama Club, Band, Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society, and Just Dance.

I had the opportunity to participate in the early college program with GHS and North Central Michigan College before attending Central Michigan University where I earned degrees in Political Science and Public and Nonprofit Administration. I cannot say enough good things about CMU and those programs as it gave me the opportunity to earn my Certified Nonprofit Credential and inspired me to want to work in the nonprofit sector. Through this program, I randomly reached out one day to OCF about an internship, and as they say, the rest is history.

I’m glad to be back in Northern Michigan just in time for the summer weather, to be in the water, prepare for Alpenfest which I always look forward to, and spend time with my family, friends, and 2 dogs. I love Otsego County not only for the natural beauty, but for how much we care. Be it natural disasters or individual issues, this community is so great at coming together in times of need. I said YES to OCF because I love this community and am ready to put my degree and passion into action. I appreciate them saying yes to me and can’t wait to learn from this team and be able to support and give back to Otsego County! Come say “hi”!
